Well here I am at the start of the month. 

I have no idea what it’s going to feel like to run more frequently. I’m hoping my joints manage, and am thankful for the advice of a sporty neighbor who said to get off the concrete as much as possible. I live by Edgars creek, so there is lots of grass and gravel paths for me to pound. 

Running 5k is great. I was able to start doing this a bit over a year ago when I joined my local parkrun. It took time to move from run/walking to running the whole thing, but my times got better and better and now sit at around 30minutes on a fairly hilly course. Maybe at the end of this month I’ll be under 30 minutes! 

The cycling will be easy enough, but I need to increase the intensity of the ride. It’s a 2x 12km ride each day I work. Often this will be on my heavy longtail Cargo bike - the Kona Ute which is a perfect name for it. It’s a longer bike than normal, with space for two kids on the back.
