My Activity Tracking
My target 150 kms
I’m taking on the Groundwork Challenge!
1 in 5 Australian mammals are on the endangered species list, mostly due to habitat destruction and degradation.
That’s why from 16 November until 16 December, I’m trying to help raise some funds for landscape-scale conservation activities. I’ve committed to walking every day to protect our native species and their precious habitats.
Please support me and help protect the land we all call home by making a tax deductible donation to Bush Heritage Australia.
Together, we can help restore the bush and protect our native species.

Increased Goal Over $1000
unpausedTuesday 24th Nov The lockdown pause turned out to be rather shorter than expected – we only ended up with one day where exercise out of the house was forbidden. I managed 500m that day wandering around the backyard, but was glad to be able to get back to walking more extensively. Now up to 45km after 9 days, on track for 150km over the 30 days of the challenge. Thanks to everyone who's donated so far. Share
Lockdown pauseWednesday 18th Nov The South Australian 'pause' means no outdoor exercise for the next six days, and hence I'm going to pause my efforts. Really disappointed. I'm going to try to meet my goal still, hopefully this pause will achieve its goal and I can catch up after. Share
ThanksSunday 15th Nov Quite pleasantly surprised by the response so far! Upping my goal to $1000. I think this kind of direct conservation action is essential to accompany lobbying and political activism, in the absence of government support for conservation-focused management of reserves. Thanks! Share
